The Tashikin FeLV Ag / FIV Ab Combo Test is the foundation of any feline wellness and screening protocol. In alignment with AAFP guidelines, this test accurately detects the FeLV p27 antigen (indicating active infection) and antibodies to FIV (indicating exposure). Knowing a cat's retroviral status is fundamental to its lifelong health plan, influencing decisions on everything from vaccinations and housing to anesthetic and dental protocols. This rapid, in-clinic test provides the definitive answers you need to provide the best possible care.
The Foundation of Feline Wellness:
Test All New Cats
Follow AAFP guidelines by establishing the retroviral status of every new cat or kitten entering your practice, regardless of its history.
Screen Before Vaccination
Confirm FeLV-negative status before administering the FeLV vaccine to ensure it is safe and appropriate for the patient.
Diagnose Sick Patients
Use as a primary diagnostic for any cat with a history of fighting, outdoor access, or presenting with non-specific signs of illness.
