Tashikin CDV Ag Test Kits (Canine Distemper Virus Antigen Test Paper)
SKU: TSK-CDV-AG-01
Detects canine distemper virus antigen in dogs. Provides veterinarians with a rapid and reliable diagnostic method.
Advantages
- Rapidly and accurately detects canine distemper virus antigen.
Tashikin Canine Distemper Virus Antigen Rapid Test Card uses colloidal gold immunochromatography technology (GICA) for qualitative detection of canine distemper virus (CDV) antigen in canine conjunctival, nasal discharge, saliva, urine, serum or plasma samples. This product is suitable for the auxiliary diagnosis of canine distemper, especially in the early stage of the disease, when the viral antigen level is high. Rapid and accurate test results help veterinarians to develop isolation and treatment plans in a timely manner to control disease transmission.
Detection principle:
This test card uses the principle of double antibody sandwich method. The CDV antigen in the sample binds to the anti-CDV monoclonal antibody labeled with colloidal gold to form a complex, which moves upward under chromatography. When the complex passes through the test line (T line), it is captured by another pre-coated anti-CDV monoclonal antibody to form a visible purple-red band. Regardless of whether the sample contains CDV antigen, the free colloidal gold-labeled antibody will continue to move upward to the control line (C line) and bind to the pre-coated antibody to form a purple-red band. The appearance of the C line indicates that the detection process is effective.

Sample collection and processing:
- Conjunctival/nasal/saliva swab:Gently wipe the dog's conjunctiva, nasal cavity, or collect saliva with the provided sterile cotton swab, and immediately immerse the swab in a test tube containing sample buffer.
- Urine:Collect fresh urine in a clean container and draw with a dropper.
- Serum/plasma:Collect venous blood by conventional methods and separate serum or plasma.
- Mix the collected samples (swab soaking solution, urine, serum/plasma) thoroughly.
Test steps:
- Take the test card out of the sealed bag and place it horizontally on a clean and flat surface.
- Use the provided dropper to draw the supernatant of the treated sample and add 3-4 drops (approximately 100μL) vertically to the sample hole (S) of the test card.
- Start the timer and read the results within 5-10 minutes. Results are invalid after 15 minutes.
Result interpretation:
- Positive (+):Purple-red bands appear on both the control line (C) and the test line (T).
- Negative (-):Only a purple-red band appears on the control line (C).
- Invalid:The control line (C) does not appear, or only the test line (T) appears. A new test card should be used for retesting.
