Early Detection, Proactive Management: Tashikin Kidney Function Test
Canine and feline chronic kidney disease (CKD) has a high incidence and often does not show obvious symptoms until the late stages. Early diagnosis and staging management following IRIS guidelines are essential. Tashikin provides comprehensive renal function assessment tools, including the revolutionary early marker SDMA, to help you detect kidney damage earlier and proactively manage kidney health.
Understanding Key Renal Function Indicators(Following IRIS guidelines)
SDMA (Symmetric Dimethylarginine)
Early kidney injury marker, which increases earlier than creatinine (on average, months to years earlier) and is less affected by muscle mass. It is a revolutionary tool for early CKD screening, staging, and monitoring.
Creatinine
Traditional glomerular filtration rate (GFR) indicator, which usually does not significantly increase until about 75% of kidney function is lost. Results are easily affected by factors such as muscle mass and age.
Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN)
Reflects renal excretion function and protein metabolism, but is easily affected by various non-renal factors such as dietary protein content, digestive tract bleeding, and dehydration.
Urine Protein/Creatinine Ratio (UPC)
A key quantitative indicator for assessing the degree of proteinuria, which is essential for accurate staging, prognosis, and treatment monitoring of CKD.
Important note: Renal function assessment needs to be comprehensively judged in combination with SDMA, creatinine, BUN, UPC, and urinalysis, and staged and managed with reference to the International Renal Interest Society (IRIS) guidelines.
Renal Function Testing Reagents
C. CORT Test Kits (Canine Cortisol Test Strips)
Detects cortisol levels in dogs. Provides veterinarians with a tool to assess adrenal function.
Cystatin C Test Kits (Canine Cystatin C Test Strips)
Detects Cystatin C levels in dogs and cats. Reliably diagnoses kidney disease in dogs and cats.
Advantages of Tashikin Kidney Health Solutions
Early Screening
First to offer SDMA testing, helping to detect early kidney damage months or even years before creatinine increases, gaining valuable intervention time.
Comprehensive Assessment
Covering from the early marker SDMA to the traditional indicators Crea/BUN, to the UPC for assessing proteinuria, providing comprehensive information on renal function.
Follow the Guidelines
The testing plan is designed in close conjunction with the International Renal Interest Society (IRIS) guidelines to support veterinarians in standardized CKD staging and management.
Reliable Results
Using advanced technology and strict quality control to provide accurate and stable test results, providing a solid basis for your clinical decisions.
