Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) is one of the most significant infectious diseases in cats, leading to immunosuppression and a variety of associated conditions. The Tashikin FeLV Ag Test is a rapid and reliable tool for detecting the FeLV p27 antigen, a core protein of the virus, indicating active infection. Following AAFP guidelines, this test is essential for screening all new cats, sick cats, and cats at risk of exposure.
Your Path to Feline Health & Safety:
Test All New Cats
Screen every cat and kitten upon intake, regardless of origin or history, to determine their FeLV status.
Test Before Vaccination
Ensure a cat is FeLV-negative before vaccinating against the virus to ensure appropriate and effective immunization.
Investigate Clinical Signs
Test any cat presenting with non-specific illness, anemia, weight loss, or recurrent infections to rule out FeLV.
