Ehrlichiosis and anaplasmosis are two of the most prevalent and clinically significant tick-borne diseases in dogs. Because they are often transmitted by the same tick species and can present with identical clinical signs like fever and thrombocytopenia, testing for both simultaneously is an efficient and medically sound approach. The Tashikin EHR-ANA Ab Combo Test provides a rapid, reliable, and cost-effective way to screen for exposure to both pathogens from a single sample.
Your Path to an Efficient Workup:
Streamline Annual Wellness
Incorporate into your annual preventative care protocol to efficiently screen for exposure to two major tick-borne threats.
Test Symptomatic Dogs
The ideal frontline test for any dog presenting with fever, lethargy, lameness, or cytopenias, especially thrombocytopenia.
Make Confident Decisions
Rapidly determine the exposure status of your patient to guide further diagnostics, treatment, and client communication.

Performance of each analyte strip validated against reference methods (IFA, PCR) for confident, reliable screening results.
Collect Sample
Collect canine whole blood, or prepare serum/plasma, according to standard laboratory procedures.
Apply Sample
Using the provided dropper, add 1 drop (approx. 10µL) of the prepared sample into the sample well (S) of the test cassette.
Add Buffer
Add 2 drops of the provided assay buffer into the sample well immediately after the sample.
Read Results
Interpret the results for both the EHR and ANA test lines at 10 minutes. The result for each analyte is read independently.
Map Regional Vector-Borne Disease Hotspots
Understanding the co-prevalence of Ehrlichia and Anaplasma is key to effective preventative strategy. Logging your combo test results in VetEx.ai helps build a detailed map of regional disease risk, enhancing your ability to educate clients and protect your patient population.
